Colin Davidson has been painting Belfast, the city of his childhood, for over 40 years. Mostly, from elevated vantage points, these ‘portraits’ of the city reflect the unique pattern, light and space of place, whilst meditating on the psychological aspect of a living entity and it’s multi-layered personality. In this reproduction from a small 2004 painting, the artist looks over the legendary River Lagan towards Queen’s Bridge.
